Wilmslow Town Council is pleased to confirm Wilmslow’s Remembrance Sunday arrangements for 9th November as follows:9.30am: the Remembrance Sunday parade will depart from Grove Avenue (participants to arrive by 9.15am).
The parade will be under the control of the Parade Marshal, departing from Grove Avenue towards Grove Street, passing down Grove Street then crossing the junction and moving down Church Street (passing Waitrose) to St Bartholomew’s Church.
10am: service at St Bartholomew’s Church. All are invited.
10.45am (approximately): the congregation will make their way to the Memorial Gardens where the traditional 11am Remembrance Service will be held, followed by the laying of wreaths and crosses.
There will not be a second parade following the 11am Memorial Garden service.
Any group requiring a wreath should purchase in good time, directly from Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal at www.poppyshop.org.uk
Wilmslow’s Remembrance Sunday is organised and facilitated by Wilmslow Town Council in conjunction with St Bartholomew’s Church.
