$Remembering the Holodomor of 1932\u201333 \u2013 The Genocide of Ukrainians Continues$

The Ukrainian community in Liverpool will hold a Holodomor Commemoration on Saturday, 22 November, at 6:40 pm in St Sebastian's RC Church (Lockerby Rd, L7 0HG), joined by the Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside, the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, ecumenical represetatives and other officials.
Prior to the memorial service, at 5:30 pm, we will celebrate Sunday Divine Liturgy which everyone is most welcome to join in as well.
This annual act of remembrance brings together Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine to honour the memory of the millions of innocent men, women, and children deliberately starved to death in 1932–33 under Stalin’s Soviet regime. It is also a solemn reminder of the ongoing struggle of the Ukrainian nation against tyranny and attempts to destroy its identity, culture, and independence.
