On Friday 5th November, 20 years to the day since the death of animal rights campaigner Barry Horne, activists will gather at MBR Acres, later followed by Labcorp (once known as Huntingdon Life Sciences) to demand an end to testing on beagles and other animals in the name of so called "science".Barry Horne died on hunger strike in November 2001, after the then Labour government promised a Royal Commission on animal testing if they were elected. The government failed to follow through with their promise and the Royal Commission never happened.
Barry's sacrifice serves as a timely reminder to continue pushing for the end of vivisection, as empty quotes from successive governments about "reducing animal testing" have all come to nothing.
Join us on Friday November 5th, in Huntingdon, the epicentre of vivisection in the UK.
