The Don Bar has been booked for Saturday 30th. August for a REME Association, North, Social. The following branches have been invited. Tyneside, Teesside, S.W. Durham, Doncaster and Scarborough. Further Invitations are extended to REME Breakfast Clubs in the region. The REME Association Development Officer Misty McCready and the REME Charity CEO Babs Harris will be in attendance. RHQ have agreed to fund a Buffet and assist those travelling the furthest (Doncaster, Scarborough and Tyneside) with travel costs. This is an open event where wives and partners are invited.This will be your opportunity to question where the Association is going and how it will support Branches.
The Last Post has a good bar at reasonable prices and there will be opportunities to visit the museum area.
It is hoped that we can get between 80 and 100 REME Veterans in attendance.
We need definitive numbers for food etc. so it is important that you notify us ASAP if you are attending and any guests you will be bringing.
