Guest Opener: Rogers & Butler Record Release Show for Brighter Day
New York song writing duo, Rogers and Butler, return with their engaging second album, Brighter Day, a sparkling, superbly executed illustration of pitch perfect East Coast American musical Anglophilia. Brighter Day focuses squarely upon the duo’s effortlessly dynamic melodicism, blended with reflective and authentically life-lived lyricism, that colored their debut album Poets & Sinners. Released on June 24, 2022 by TLAK, Brighter Day draws primarily upon the timeless sounds of sixties and seventies pop wherein lie echoes of the Kinks, Mott The Hoople and early Tom Petty, cross-hatched with more subtle references to folk, country and even English music hall. For the Brighter Day Record Release show, Edward Rogers (lead vocals) and Steve Butler (lead vocals, lead guitar) are joined by Producer Don Piper (guitar), Sal Maida (bass) and Konrad Meissner (drums).
