Nikos Kalivas powraca do Poznania już w styczniu 2026! Kto raz spróbował z nim zajęć, ten wie jak unikatowy jest jego ruch i jak świetnym jest pedagogiem. Zwraca dużą uwagę na szczegóły i stara się pomóc uczestnikom doskonalić technikę w ich indywidualnym zakresie. Na jego warsztatach możecie spodziewać się dużej fizyczności, floorworku, spiral i integracji oddechu w tańcu. Warsztaty opierają się o technikę release, wykorzystują też elementy akrobatyki, sztuk walki, techniki Limona i współczesnej techniki tańca klasycznego. W oparciu o te techniki będziecie pracować nad przepływem w ruchu i silnym centrum. Ważnym aspektem zajęć jest praca nad wykorzystaniem pędu i nowych jakości ruchu tak, aby w czasie tańca zużywać jak najmniej energii i korzystać z energii grawitacji.
Warsztaty będą podzielone na dwa poziomy zaawansowania:
1. Level I: beginners to intermediate
2. Level II: intermediate to advanced
Prosimy ocenić swoje możliwości i zapisać się na najbardziej odpowiedni poziom.
W poniedziałek 05.01 zajęcia będą trwały półtorej godziny, we wtorek 06.01 dwie godziny. Zapisujemy się albo na dany poziom (3,5h zajęć) albo bierzemy wszystko (całe 7 godzin). Czyli np. jeśli wybieram Level I (poziom beginner to intermediate) to znaczy, że biorę udział w zajęciach na tym poziomie w poniedziałek (1,5h) i we wtorek (2h). Na razie nie prowadzimy zapisów na pojedyncze zajęcia.

O INSTRUKTORZE…
Nikos Kalivas to grecki tancerz, choreograf i nauczyciel urodzony w 1988 roku. Od 2014 roku uczy tańca współczesnego i improwizacji w profesjonalnych szkołach tanecznych i studiach w Grecji i Europie.
Jako tancerz współpracował z choreografami takimi jak Annie Vigier, Frank Apertet (Documenta14), Antigoni Gira, Betty Dramisioti, Xaris Mandafounis, Giannis Antoniou, Patritsia Apergi, Konstantinos Rigos, Leyya Mona Taiwil, Xaris Kousios, Persa Stamatopoulou, Babis Alexiadis, Hikaru Fuji, Choreftes Dance company, Sofia Mavragani i inni.
Jako choreograf współpracował m.in. z Biennale w Monachium, Centrum Kultury Onassis, Grecką Operą Narodową, Uferstudios, Fundacją S. Niarchos w Atenach i Berlinie. Został wybrany przez zespół Artworks we współpracy z Fundacją S. Niarchos na stypendium, dzięki któremu mógł prowadzić własne badania w dziedzinie choreografii i techniki tańca współczesnego w latach 2019-2021.
W latach 2021-2024 współpracował z zespołem Luna Park w ramach międzynarodowego programu wymiany "Jak tańczyć w czasach kryzysu?", jako lider kursu i choreograf z różnymi tancerzami z Berlina, Grecji, Francji i Egiptu. W 2023 roku stworzył choreografię ALZHEIMAT we współpracy z Kosmasem Kosmolopoulosem i Ronem Rosenbergiem (Berlin).

Nikos Kalivas is returning to Poznań in January 2026! Anyone who has taken a class with him knows how unique his movement is and what an excellent teacher he is. He pays great attention to detail and strives to help the participants refine their technique within their individual scope. In his workshops, you can expect a lot of physicality, floorwork, spirals, and the integration of breath in dance. The workshops are based on release technique, also utilising elements of acrobatics, martial arts, Limón technique, and contemporary classical dance technique. Based on these elements, you will work on flow in movement and a strong centre. An important aspect of the classes is working on the use of momentum and new movement qualities so that during the dance, you use as little energy as possible and utilise the energy of gravity.
The workshops will be divided into two levels:
1. Level I: beginners to intermediate
2. Level II: intermediate to advanced
Please assess your abilities and sign up for the most appropriate level.
On Monday, January 5th, the classes will last one and a half hours, and on Tuesday, January 6th, two hours. You sign up either for a given level (3.5h of classes) or take everything (a full 7 hours). This means, for example, if I choose Level I (beginner to intermediate), I participate in the classes at this level on Monday (1.5h) and Tuesday (2h). Currently, we are not accepting sign-ups for single classes.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR…
Nikos Kalivas is a Greek dancer, choreographer and teacher born in 1988. He has been teaching contemporary dance and improvisation at professional dance schools and studios in Greece and Europe since 2014.
As a dancer, he has worked with choreographers such as Annie Vigier, Frank Apertet (Documenta14), Antigoni Gira, Betty Dramisioti, Xaris Mandafounis, Giannis Antoniou, Patritsia Apergi, Konstantinos Rigos, Leyya Mona Taiwil, Xaris Kousios, Persa Stamatopoulou, Babis Alexiadis, Hikaru Fuji, Choreftes Dance company, Sofia Mavragani and more.
As a choreographer, he has collaborated with, among others, Munich Biennale, Onassis Culture Center, Greek National Opera, Uferstudios, S.Niarchos Foundation in Athens and Berlin.
He was selected from the Artworks team in collaboration with S.Niarchos foundation to get a fellowship and have the opportunity to make his personal research in choreography and contemporary dance technique between 2019-2021.
In 2021-2024 he collaborated with the Luna Park team as part of the international exchange program "How to dance in times of crisis?", in Berlin as course leader and choreographer with various dancers from Berlin, Greece, France and Egypt. In 2023 he choreographed ALZHEIMAT in collaboration with Kosmas Kosmolopoulos and Ron Rosenberg (Berlin).
