Autumn is a time where the veil thins and our more-than-human kin draw near. This Autumn, join Earthen Keys Apothecary and Womb & Wildflowers for an evening of sacred sisterhood at Rekindling with our Animal Kin on Thursday, October 9th at 6pm in Auburn Hills, MI.Animism is the belief that all beings possess a spirit; humans, plants, animals, elementals, celestial objects, and the land. This belief has been woven into cultures around the world and is one of the oldest ways humans have been relating to the world around them.
Journey beside us as we commune with our animal kin through ceremonial ways of relating. Chelcee will consult the ancestors and animal kin through a bone reading, divining their messages through one of the oldest forms of divination, osteomancy.
Together we will explore ways different cultures from around the world have related to the animals within the ecosystems they’re a part of. You will then be guided through a spiritual journey accompanied with drumming to meet and connect with power animals who wish to be your allies on this Earthwalk.
You’ll be given the opportunity to work with bones, furs, and feathers (all honored and tended in a good way), further embodying their medicine through primal play and dance. There will be space to share your experience within the safe container of sisterhood as we integrate our journeys and ground them into our being.
Doors open at 6pm and ceremony will begin at 6:30pm. Please bring a journal/pen and water to stay hydrated. Feel free to bring any animal items you may already have a connection with to work with in ceremony.
Dress comfortably as you may wish to move about during the animal embodiment play portion. Please reach out if financial assistance is needed as we do our best to accommodate.
Our ancestors were a part of the ecosystem, not at the “top of the food chain.” By coming back into relationship with our animal kin, we weave ourselves back into a greater web of relations where we can call upon them for support and guidance.
