About this Event

Looking for some much needed reprieve from your busy schedule?

Join us in person at the oasis on the roof of Tekka Place this Friday, 17 September 2021 at 7.30 pm for a refreshing Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) workshop!

Facilitated by Physiotherapist and Dance Movement Therapist, Manasi Anand, look forward to five short dance activities which will leave you feeling lighter, more relaxed, and more confident by the end of the night.

DMT uses body movement as a way of communication and expression. As an experience and expression-based therapy, it promotes emotional, social, cognitive, and physical integration, which in turn improves your overall health and well-being.

This 90-minute session will allow you to not only explore the various DMT techniques, but also put them into practice and experience the benefits for yourself!

Limited spaces!*

Things to note: ⁣

  • Wear comfortable clothing ⁣
  • Have a bottle of water with you⁣
  • Bring a hand towel ⁣

*Due to COVID-19 restrictions, each session can accommodate up to 12 participants only.⁣⁣

Founded on the belief that arts can play a role in healing, this is a bimonthly initiative organised by TRCL and curated by non-profit arts and cultural organisation Global Cultural Alliance. ⁣
