About this Event
Adriano Spampanato is a French-Italian musician, Fulbright Scholar, and recent graduate of the Cafritz Young Artist program with the Washington National Opera (2021-2023). Eager to explore every style, his repertoire covers music from the 16th century to the present day. He has performed all over Europe, as well as in the USA, Canada, Russia, Japan, and India; in music venues such as Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, The Kennedy Center, the Paris Philharmonic, and others. He won the Special prize of the Art Assembly/Tavricheskaya Chapel for the best rendition of baroque music at Tariverdiev’s Organ Competition (Russia). Alongside Axelle Fanyo, soprano, they won the Grand Prix Prince Rainier III of Monaco prize for singer-pianist duos at the 11th Nadia and Lili Boulanger International Voice-Piano Competition. They made a recording of Duparc’s songs, which is available on audio streaming platforms. Adriano currently serves as the assistant director of music and organist at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Alexandria, VA.
