About this Event
Relax deeply and awaken your natural healing capacity in a small-group 90-minute session guided by Certified Reiki and Sound Healing Practitioner and Registered Yoga Teacher Michelle Chua of Root 2 Rise Yoga & Reiki.
Beginners and experienced yoga students are welcome to a gentle Yin Yoga practice for opening the body and calming the nervous system. Guided mindful breathwork will lead you into an extended Savasana, in which you'll be invited to lie down in meditation for about 45 minutes to immerse in the harmonious sounds of Himalayan and other sound healing instruments. You'll also receive hands-on Reiki, a Japanese technique for deep relaxation that promotes healing on all levels--physical, psychological and energetic. The session will end with a brief personal reflection, in which you're encouraged to journal or draw freely to help integrate your experience.
Please bring to the event:
- Layered comfortable attire for movement and lying down
- A Yoga mat
- A warm blanket
- A pillow
- Any other props or accessories, such as an eye pillow or yoga blocks, that you may like to support your comfort while lying on the ground for about 45 minutes to rest
- A journal and pen or drawing media (optional)
