What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force.
It has also been referred to in other cultures in all things. The practice of Reiki is the art and science of channeling this universal life force (or source) energy to promote spiritual, mental, and physical well being. Reiki is not associated with any particular religion and can be used alongside any spiritual system, medical practice or other alternative healing modalities.
