Reiki is a Japanese form of energy medicine that can be translated as “universal life force energy” or “spiritually guided life force energy.”
Reiki was founded in the late 1800’s by a Buddhist monk named Dr. Mikao Usui. Through his intensive spiritual practices and search for enlightenment, the gift of Reiki was bestowed upon him after fasting for 21 days. He claims that the Reiki energy and symbols he was energetically attuned to, were the keys to enlightenment and higher levels of consciousness.
Reiki is thought of to be a sacred practice where the practitioner serves as a conduit for Divine energies, to channel the Reiki healing light through, to help boost the bodies natural ability to heal itself. Reiki is both a hands on and hands off form of treatment.
Reiki works hand-in-hand with the chakratic system, under the philosophy that as the chakras come online and become balanced, one experiences true peace and well-being.
Reiki focuses on stimulating a healing response in 4 key areas of our overall health and wellness, which are:
Physical well-being: boosts circulation, reduces inflammation, boosts the immune system, speeds up recovery, and decreases physical pain.
Mental well-being: reduces stress and anxiety, alleviates symptoms of depression, grief/trauma, and has an uplifting and balancing affect on the mind.
Emotional well-being: brings in deep peace and relaxation and allows us to become more heart centered beings. Emotions can get stuck in the body and energetic field, and Reiki is a tool that helps alleviate energetic blockages and helps us move through the pain and discomfort and come back into balance.
Spiritual well-being: Reiki helps us reconnect with our innermost selves. It helps us feel more connected with self, others, and all that is. Reiki expands our perspective and deepens our spiritual growth—whatever that means for each person individually.
Reiki Training is just one way to deepen into personal growth and self-realization. Many people are drawn to become certified in Reiki—whether it be for personal healing or to add another tool to their practice. I have nurses, doctors, mental health practitioners, yogis, business professionals, parents, college students, health and wellness professionals, and people from all walks of life that are drawn to this modality and have gone through my trainings— as I know it is for a reason.
You will receive:
1. Reiki Level 1 Manual
2. Reiki Level 1 Certification
3. Learn and practice a self-guided healing sequence to work on healing yourself.
4. Learn how to do a reiki session on someone else.
5. History of Reiki
6. Sacred Attunement to become a channel for Reiki energy.
7. You will be attuned to the Reiki energy as well as the cho -ku-reiki symbol (the power and protection symbol)
8. Lots of practice time to give and receive Reiki healing— (one of the best parts of this training✨)
9. Learn about the chakras and how to work with, balance, align, and heal the chakratic column.
10. Become a Certified Reiki Level 1 Practitioner
You will receive the manual in advance and I ask that you study the material before coming to class. Make sure you have designated time to commit to study (a few hours— before coming to class)
Water and Snacks and Optional Vegan Lunch will be provided (but you can bring your own lunch if you prefer).
This full day—Reiki Level 1 Training will be held at a beautiful home in Bloomington, Minnesota.
There will be two dogs and a cat at the home, so please be animal friendly✨🫶✨
I think of them as our “divine support animals” and we may even just learn how to do animal reiki!
Cody has been practicing and working with people both individually and teaching groups and trainings on Reiki for the last 10 years. He is a Usui Reiki Master, Seichem Level 2 Reiki Practitioner, trained in ancient arts of healing, thaiyogabodywork, the Akashic records, and has a strong connection with Angels and Guides. After a profound spiritual awakening that took place while receiving his first professional reiki session in 2015 — he founded A New Beginning, LLC and has embraced Reiki as one of the foundational modalities to support and assist others on their healing journeys.
His Reiki courses stem from Usui Reiki, Seichem Sekhem Reiki, Angelic Healing, Crystalline Healing, as well as brings through galactic keys and codes to help jump start your spiritual journey and align you deeper with your innermost selves and soul purpose work.
