A TWO-DAY EXPERIENCED-BASED TRAINING PROGRAMOver the course of the first degree training program, students will learn what Reiki is, how it was originated by Mikao Usui, and discover the way of self-healing and the hands-on healing treatments. They’ll receive four Reiki attunements, which will connect them to the Universal energy source and allow them to be able to:
· Scan the body of the person receiving treatment
· Detect areas of the body with reduced vitality
· Channel Reiki energy into themself or transfer to others
· Feel the energy as it flows through their hands
· Apprehend how one’s attitude can create disharmony in the mind and emotions, and how it causes dis-ease in the physical body
Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
About Kolt Beringer
Born and raised in south-central Minnesota, Kolt Beringer is a certified Reiki Master Instructor by the NYC Reiki Institute, a certified Sound healer by the International Academy of Sound Healing (IASH), a poet, and an essayist. He works full-time in his Reiki and Sound studio at Brooklyn Sound + Reiki in south Brooklyn, accepting private and group healing sessions as well as teaching Reiki.
Prior to receiving the call, Beringer worked in New York City’s publishing industry for more than twenty years. At the onset of the COVID pandemic, he felt an urgency to do more in the world, to be of service to the planet and all its inhabitants. Thus began his journey in alternative and holistic health services with Isha Hatha yoga, IASH Sound healing, and Reiki. In 2019, he was initiated in Isha Hatha yoga practices by Sadhguru through the NYC chapter. In 2021, he enrolled in various Sound Healing workshops with IASH, gong workshop at Online Gong Master Training with Don Conreaux, and Reiki classes with NYC Reiki Institute. In 2022, he accepted the role as the IASH NY Chapter Coordinator. He worked closely with Maestro Satya Brat, apprenticing and coordinating NYC IASH Sound healing workshops and events, as well as hosted monthly NYC IASH Sound Satsangs and Student Meetups. On April 7, 2023, he was initiated as a Reiki Master Instructor by Nana Deleplanque.
Beringer earned his BA from the University of Minnesota and his MFA from Columbia University’s School of the Arts. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
