Reiki Foundations: Rooted, Spacious, Connected

Reiki Foundations is an intuitive, embodied journey into the foundational practices of the system of Reiki, and their Japanese origins. It is designed to help you bring this simple, elegant and profound spiritual practice into the challenges and joys of your daily life. Using meditation, breath work, and energy-sensing, this class will give you what you need to build a vibrant Reiki self-practice, whether you are completely new to Reiki or are already experienced with it.

In this class you will:

• Increase your confidence and capacity to address and heal from the stresses and pains of life through an accessible, simple, and deeply empowering practice,
• Learn to sense, generate and direct energy with your focus and hands, so that you can become a savvy navigator of your inner landscape and your connection with others,
• Develop a relationship with the Reiki Precepts and begin experiencing how to live them in your daily life to release attachment to fear and anger, and source a deep well of gratitude, compassion and self-knowledge,
• Receive a Japanese Reiju (spiritual blessing, known as “attunement” in western forms of Reiki),
• Learn about the Japanese origins of the system of Reiki, and how this practice fits into the spiritual and cultural lineages of Japan,
• Be invited to join the HeartScapes Reiki Community of Practice to support your practice.

This class is for you if you:

• Are interested in Reiki primarily for self-practice at this time
• Would like a short re-immersion to reconnect with your Reiki practice
• Would like to try on the practice of Reiki in a short format before committing to a full Reiki certification class
• Have interest in the Japanese origins of the system of Reiki

Shinto cosmology reminds us of our inherent divine nature as part of all Life: Deeply rooted into the life-giving Earth; spacious reach into the vastness of the Universe beyond and inside; and with a heart connected to all of Life. Through the system of Reiki, as practiced from these origins, we embody being Rooted, Spacious and Connected, thereby remembering the wholeness of our True Self, a healed state. Format & Investment: This class is offered in a hybrid format, your choice of joining in person or over Zoom. It is 3 hours with a break in the middle.
