Reiki, which means “universal life force” energy, is a natural form of healing that originated in Japan. Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the practitioner can transmit Universal Life Energy into the client by means of placing hands just off of the body or lightly touching the body. Reiki is “holistic” because it affects the whole person (body, mind and spirit) encouraging deep relaxation and a sense of well-being, and assisting the physical body’s own healing ability to operate more effectively and efficiently. As a natural form of healing, Reiki can support and enhance other forms of treatment, including conventional medical treatments as well as alternative or complimentary therapies. Reiki can also be used in a similar way to treat animals, birds and other creatures.
What is Integrated Energy Therapy?
