This 75-minute workshop will combine healing practices, along with calming aromatherapy & Yoga Nidra techniques to help restore balance in the parasympathetic nervous system while bringing peace & clarity to the mind, body, and spirit.
Restorative Yoga is a passive, meditative form of yoga that consists of supported postures with the use of blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps that lead to deep relaxation. Expect to relax deeply into each posture for 5-7 minutes at a time to promote passive healing in the body. This yoga style is known for its ability to activate the parasympathetic nervous system which is the “rest and digest” part of your nervous system that helps keep basic functions working as they should.
While you relax into each restorative yoga pose Chasity will lay her hands on specific parts of the body to deliver the tranquil, healing Reiki energy. Reiki is a universal healing energy that was first accessed at the turn of the 20th century by Master Mikao Usui, a devoted practitioner of Japanese Zen Buddhism. As a trained and certified Reiki Practitioner, Chasity allows this energy to flow through her to you. Energy goes to the areas in the body where it is needed to release physical, mental, and emotional blockages. Reiki healing provides you with exactly what you need and brings you into a deep state of relaxation and restoration.
For Aromatherapy, Chasity burns Sage and Sweetgrass at the start of practice. Sage is burned first to cleanse and purify, followed by Sweetgrass to call in good energy and high spirits. Sweetgrass braid is composed of three ropes that represent the mind, body, and spirit and have been used in Indigenous ceremonies for centuries as a sacred smelling herb. Chasity Ramsey is a dedicated 200hr E-RYT in the classical teachings and traditions of Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Restorative Yoga. She is a 100hr CMT in Visualization Meditation techniques and Yoga Nidra. She is a 20hr certified Trauma-Informed Yoga instructor and a certified Reiki Healer in the Usui Reiki Traditions and Symbols through her Reiki Master & Shamanic Teacher, Benjamin Gettinger. Chasity uses these healing modalities to help bring herself, and others, back to their natural state of being which she believes is infinite love, light, and joy.

Checking In: We are located at 553 S. Lake Ave and will begin check-in at 4:10 PM. Please arrive on time as we will be locking the doors at 4:35 PM. You can park in the Pavilion's parking lot located on California Ave. There's a flight of stairs that leads up to the studio. There is also free parking on Lake Ave. on Sunday.
Please bring your own yoga mat and anything else you may need for the sound bath (pillows, etc). We have yoga bolsters, blankets and props available, as well as mat rentals.
