We believe that any instrument can play jazz. We’ve had flutes, bassoons, cellos, even an accordion.
If you’re interested in jazz, you’ll find a warm and inclusive environment here, no matter what instrument you play or what skill level you’re at.
The group plays jazz standards using staff notation, with opportunities for improvised solos for anyone that wishes. Difficulty level is easy to intermediate, but don’t worry if you are a less experienced player – we’ll adapt the parts to your ability level. Periodic lessons on jazz improvisation are also included in the rehearsals for those that wish to give it a try.
