Rehabilitative Cosmetics is one of the four prerequisite certifications for Fascia Cosmetic Acupuncture™ taught by Pamela Maloney, L.Ac.
This course focuses on two key areas:
- Scarring: In the first part of the day, students will address severe scarring caused by acute injuries or surgeries. They will learn techniques to completely erase scars through consistent treatment. By palpation, students will diagnose whether a scar is keloid or thin (like a stretch mark) and adapt their approach accordingly to different types of scars.
- Paralysis: The latter half of the day focuses on paralysis that affects facial or body aesthetics, such as in Bell’s Palsy or other forms of paralysis. Students will learn how to ignite the motor reflex in paralyzed tissue, restoring its proper function.
Key learning outcomes include:
- Techniques for erasing scars and understanding why removing stagnation on and beneath the skin is critical.
- How to assess scar depth and effectively treat the entire tissue layer.
- Diagnosing various types of paralysis, understanding their causes, and determining the appropriate treatment strategies for restoring movement and stimulating tissue and fluid flow.
- When and how to use electrical stimulation to expedite tissue recovery and enhance results.
By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to treat both scars and paralysis in a way that promotes optimal cosmetic and functional outcomes.
Disclaimer: Students in this course must practice the techniques taught to build proficiency and are encouraged to receive needling to deepen their understanding. Enrollment confirms acknowledgment that both practicing and receiving needling are essential to learning and professional growth. Participation in this class requires signing a Media Release Form for before and after photos used for educational and promotional purposes, as well as an Informed Consent Form for treatment. Both forms must be signed prior to participation.
This class is approved for 6 CEU/PDAs by the California Acupuncture Board and the NCCAOM.
Refund Policy: Cancellation received in writing by one week prior to the first day of the course will be refunded less $30.00 administrative fee. No refunds will be made on cancellations made after that date.
