Fairfield Celebrates Down Syndrome is a vibrant community initiative hosted by Anoushka’s Helping Hand, a newly established nonprofit dedicated to celebrating and supporting individuals with Down syndrome. Held during the month of October—nationally recognized as Down Syndrome Awareness Month—this inaugural event honors the beauty, potential, and contributions of people with Down syndrome through joy, connection, and community engagement.Taking place at Roger Sherman Elementary School in Fairfield, Connecticut, the celebration features an exciting lineup of family-friendly activities, including a live DJ, lawn games, raffle prizes, party characters [Spider Man, Moana] and a variety of food and resource vendors. Local organizations and service providers will also be on hand to share information, offer support, and connect with attendees.
