Course Description:
Designing rehab care plans for persons with Parkinson's Disease can be challenging. Each person has a unique and complex needs that require input and expertise from all health care team members. This conference will provide information on current evidence-based assessments and treatment techniques used by physical therapists, occupational theraposts and speech-language pathologists. Practical treatment strategies with a focus on integrated team management will be emphasized. Conference team members are all members of the nationally recognized Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence, Struthers Parkinson's Center.
Objectives:
At the end of this course the participant will be able to:
1. Describe motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's Disease
2. Apply strategies for interdisciplinary management of Parkinson's Disease throughout the continuum of care
3. Identify evidence-based Parkinson's Disease assessment tools and treatment strategies for physical, occupational and speech therapy as pertinent to their respective discipline
Non-employee/On-call Therapist Cancellation policy:
Cancellations received at least seven or more working days before the event are refundable, minus a $20 administrative charge per registrant. There is no refund for cancellations received less than seven working days before the start of course. A refund or voucher will be issued to any participant who is registered to attend a seminar that is cancelled by Centrex Rehab.
Non-employee/On-call tickets - includes Eventbrite service fee and processing fee.
Centrex Employee Cancellation Policy:
- Centrex requires a one month cancellation notice from any registered employee.
- Centrex will allow one emergency cancellation per employee every 2 years without penalty (i.e. you or family member is sick, car died, etc.)
- Any no show or cancellation without proper notice and beyond the one allowed emergency cancellation will be subject to a cancellation fee as follows:
• $50 for any course with a cost of up to $400
• $75 for any course with a cost between $401 and $1,000
• $150 for any course with a cost of over $1,000
You do not need to bring a ticket to the course with you.
