Join us for beginner- and family-friendly group bike rides to Ravenswood Preserve to witness the highest tides of the year! Thanks to our partners at Midpen, SVBC is thrilled to host two group bike rides to visit Ravenswood Open Space Preserve along the beautiful San Francisco Bay shoreline.
Join us at the Redwood City library for refreshments from a local business before we pedal for about 30 minutes to get to Ravenswood Preserve. Along the way, we'll meet other community partners, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to offering enriching programs and services to our communities.
You'll want to join us for both of these rides, and here's why: On October 19th, we'll enjoy a beautiful, normal day at Ravenswood Preserve. A month later, on November 16th, we'll return to the same place to see the incredible difference in the water during a natural phenomenon called a King Tide.
We expect truly incredible views on BOTH of these rides, so definitely join us twice!
These rides are free to all, and designed to be supportive and comfortable for beginners and families who may be newer to riding bikes on the road. Our trained ride support are here to help everyone have a great time!
The ride experience is:
-Absolutely nobody left behind
-Frequent stops to rest and regroup
-Plenty of snacks to keep our bellies happy
-Bike safety and helmet checks before we leave
Please bring with you:
-A working bicycle
-A helmet
-A water bottle
-Clothing fit for the weather
-Flat repair if you have it
We'll see you in the bike lane!
