Description of the event:
How familiar are you with selling to the Government of Canada? Do you feel intimidated by federal procurement? Are you new to public procurement? Would you like to know more, get tools and resources, find procurement projects and develop effective bids?
Procurement Assistance Canada – Quebec Region is now training a cohort of companies who will benefit from a one-day practical workshop dedicated to understanding federal procurement.
Who is this program for? This training is aimed at women entrepreneurs who:
- want to sell goods and services to the Government of Canada
- are seeking information on how to become a supplier
- are looking to identify opportunities to sell to the Government of Canada
- who want to understand the steps necessary to prepare and submit bids.
Our offer
The program consists of relatively short modules to help you develop and deepen your knowledge led by a Procurement Specialists who will accompany you and review the basic concepts of federal procurement and will carry out various demonstrations.
The themes, which are not exhaustive, may include dispelling certain myths, knowing what the Government of Canada buys, and understanding the purchasing process, including how the different supplier databases work. Participants will also learn about establishing networks, searching and finding opportunities, and reading and understanding calls for tenders.
