Pottery Wheel with Patricia Shook is open to ages 16 and older and no experience is necessary. The class meets Wednesdays, October 8 - November 19, 5:30 to 8:00 PM.
Students learn how to throw clay on a potter’s wheel. We’ll cover foundations of wheel work, like wedging, centering clay, and forming cylinders, plates, and bowls. We’ll learn to decorate pottery with texture and stencils. Glazing information will help students finish their final forms.
This seven week class is $200 and includes all materials.

Please note there is a transaction fee to register online; however, students may register over the phone at 423-745-8781, or in person at The Arts Center, with no transaction fee.
Starting September 2025, past and current AACA pottery wheel students can sign up for pottery studio hours for $20 a month! Students must sign up over the phone or in person during office hours.
