Join the for the Regional Rally - Shoulder to Shoulder: The Surge Starts Here, a one-day gathering designed to build on the momentum of Fall Session and help churches move from inspiration to meaningful action.

Following the Fall Session theme - From Spark to Surge - this rally brings together clergy, church leaders, men, women, youth, and young adults for a unified experience of worship, formation, and commissioning. Participants will engage in Spirit-filled worship, focused ministry sessions, and intentional intergenerational connection aimed at strengthening faith, sharpening leadership, and renewing vision for ministry across generations.

This Regional Rally is more than a meeting. It is a formative experience that equips participants to return to their churches prepared to lead, serve, and collaborate effectively within their congregations and communities.

The day will begin with dynamic, Spirit-filled worship designed to unify generations, cultivate expectancy, and set the spiritual tone for the gathering. Through prayer, praise, and a brief inspirational charge, participants will be invited to enter with openness, purpose, and anticipation for what God will do.

Attendees will participate in breakout sessions tailored to each group: clergy, church leaders, men, women, youth, and young adults. Led by trusted pastors and ministry leaders, these sessions address real-world ministry challenges, leadership sustainability, spiritual formation, and generational engagement within today’s church.

The rally also provides intentional space for intergenerational conversation. Over a shared lunch and guided table discussions, participants will reflect on what they are learning, how different generations experience faith and calling, and how churches can move forward shoulder to shoulder.

The day concludes with a unified general session and commissioning moment that connects regional engagement to the broader vision of the Baptist General Convention of Virginia. Participants will be prayed over, affirmed, and sent back to their churches with renewed clarity, strengthened commitment, and a practical sense of shared purpose.

Registration Fee: $20 per person

Registration includes full access to the Regional Rally and a boxed lunch from Jason’s Deli. Attendees will select their sandwich filling and bread option. Each boxed lunch includes lettuce and tomato, chips, a pickle, and a chocolate chip cookie.

Whether attending alone or with your congregation, participants will leave inspired, equipped for ministry, and more connected with leaders and peers across the BGCVA community.

This January Regional Rally is part of BGCVA’s broader effort to foster intergenerational involvement, leadership formation, and sustained connection throughout the year.

• February 21, 2026 – Chatham, VA
• May 9, 2026 – Alexandria, VA

All gatherings lead toward the Annual Session and Congress of Christian Faith Formation, where the Generational Surge continues in full expression.
