Join us for a show at the Banneker Planetarium, at the Community College of Baltimore County!This event is for 6th grade and older (but can be enjoyed by 4th and 5th graders). We will watch 2 shows. Black Hole: 1st Picture, which explores the collaborative efforts of scientist around the globe, as they produce the first-ever picture of a black hole. This will be followed by Solar Superstorms, a show that explores the magnetic fields and plasma of the sun. Solar flares, tornadoes, and coronal mass ejections will be discussed, and we will learn about the monitoring of solar behavior.
The show starts promptly at 10:00 AM. Please arrive early, so that everyone can have time to visit the restroom and get seated. Remember, there is no eating or drinking in the planetarium. Classes may be in session on campus, so be sure to use inside voices, and no running around.

The planetarium is located in the Math and Science Hall, MASH 030
Parking: The Planetarium is on the lower level of the Math and Sciences Hall (MASH), and the closest parking is in lot 3 (follow the signs to this parking lot)
