About this Event
The Moravian University Preservice Chapter of NAEA is hosting a series of hands-on Material Exploration workshops! Sign up for individual workshops that fit your schedule! All workshops will take place at Moravian University's South Campus in Historic Bethlehem.
Artist Katie Hovencamp, NAEA preservice students and Dr. MaryJo Rosania Harvie will host this fun workshop that combines plushies and printmaking in a creative experience. Participants should bring plushies (stuffed animals) that will become unconventional printing materials. We will explore the use of the printing press in unexpected ways. Ideal for educators interested in interdisciplinary approaches and engaging, student-centered making.
Note: Plushies will be covered in ink during the process, so they will not be usable as plushies after the workshop. Please bring a plushie that does not have hard eyes.
All other supplies will be provided.
Parking directions and a parking pass will be provided to registered participants by email before the event.
Participants will receive 3 hours of Act 48 credit.
