Your ski club is having its annual general meeting Nov 9 at 2:00 pm at St Marks Lutheran Church, 3510 Queen Street. This is your opportunity to learn about upcoming trips, opportunities to get involved, ways to up your skiing game and more! Of course, since it’s an AGM we’ll be presenting and approving the annual financial statements and electing board members for the coming year. We still need people to step up and help with the following board roles:
Communications director: this person oversees and organizes sending out the Club’s newsletter Sitzmarks, social media posts and other aspects of the Club’s communications.
Vice President: this person chairs meetings if the president is unable. As well, this person acts as volunteer recruiter and coordinator.
Webmaster: this person keeps the Club’s website up to date and assists with maintaining the Club’s social media pages and groups.
Treasurer: While Dave Safnuk has indicated he’s willing to stay on for another year, he’d like to hand off this job. So it would be great if someone could work with him over the next year to learn the ropes and hit the ground running in a year’s time.
Alpine Recreational: this person leads the Clubs activities for alpine recreational skiers, which could involve organizing an alpine trip, lessons or other fun things.
