Featuring: Ian Nelson
Ian Nelson, originally from Indianapolis but raised in Hayden, Alabama, grew up in a small town filled with love despite financial hardships. His early years were marked by challenges, including addiction and legal troubles, but his time in a youth boot camp helped him turn his life around. Inspired by his father's musical talents, Ian always dreamt of pursuing music.
After many years of hard work and putting his musical dreams on hold, Ian rediscovered his passion for music during the COVID-19 pandemic. Encouraged by his wife Mary, he picked up the guitar and began sharing his music once again. In 2022, a performance at a friend's house reignited his love for the stage, leading to a series of gigs and eventually a full-time music career.
Since May 2023, Ian has been performing 20-25 gigs a month, including opening his first festival. His journey from a troubled youth to a successful musician is a testament to the power of dreaming big, working hard, and believing in oneself.
As we live in Florida, it’s going to be hot, but don’t worry! We’ll have chairs and shelters providing plenty of shade, along with complimentary beverages to keep you cool and refreshed.
