Reggae Gold vs. Strictly The Best is more than a party. It’s a cultural movement—curated by DJ PowaSerge (Haiti) and RoscoTheDJ (Trinidad)—dedicated to preserving and celebrating the authentic roots of reggae and dancehall culture in New England.
Launched in January 2025 by two Caribbean creatives with lifelong ties to the music, the series was born from a shared vision:
to create a space where classic Jamaican sound system culture meets modern nightlife energy, bridging Kingston and Boston under one roof.
Named after two of the most iconic reggae compilation series in history, Reggae Gold vs. Strictly The Best honors the genre’s golden legacy while pushing the culture forward. Inside the venue, waves of red, gold, and green set the tone as timeless riddims from Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Dennis Brown, and other legends blend seamlessly with modern dancehall anthems.
The crowd is a true reflection of the Caribbean diaspora and beyond—Haitian, Trinidadian, Jamaican, African-American, and allies of the culture—all skanking shoulder-to-shoulder, proving that the Caribbean spirit thrives right here in Boston.
