About this Event
Reggae & Soul Jam offers an engaging cultural experience marrying the historical and cultural significance of the Windrush generation and their descendants' sounds. Drawing songs and inspiration from Ska, Reggae, Soul, R&B and Pop the programme taps into the rich heritage and narratives of a generation that greatly contributed to the UK's creative culture. Our sessions will be led by experienced tutors and industry professionals from Everyone’s A Singer.
Participants in the programme, will share songs, learn and write music that they will go on to perform during a mid-programme performance at the Cutty Sark (3rd February). The iconic Greenwich location, gives participants an esteemed platform to showcase their talents, allowing local audiences to witness and celebrate the community's creativity.
Everyone’s A Singer has a growing local community of music makers, creatives and community groups in our network and proactively seek to engage with new audiences in Greenwich and across London.
Inclusivity is at the heart of "Reggae & Soul Jam". Our sessions are structured to be open to all adults, regardless of musical ability or background. We are committed to ensuring that every member of the community feels welcomed, valued, and catered to during our sessions. To apply for this programme register your interest here:
