Join is at Dragonfly Farms, an 800 acre regenerative farm located in between Washington, D.C., Richmond and Charlottesville. We have been fattening grass fed cattle from birth to butcher since 2007. We have been running 100% grass-fed sheep that pasture lamb since 2010. We have a passion for educating future farmers in a fun, inclusive and productive way. This class will be 1/2 class room and 1/2 hands on learning. Everything from animal husbandry to the economics of starting up. Time for plenty of Q and A as we sit and eat meals together. Join us for 3 days of learning, discussion and community. Friday 1/24/25 - from 1:5:00 plus dinner afterwards. We will develop our "why", our future goals, realistic economic projections and steps to scale up production or get started from scratch. Small class size will allow for great teacher/student ratio with plenty of time for Q and A so that you can get what you need out of this class. Friday we will sit down to a farm to table dinner together and hear from Bruce, Katherine and Ashley about their paths into farming and have time for Q and A about the farm.
