About this Event
Conflict and persecution around the world cause tens of thousands of people to flee their homes every day. They must leave everything behind as they try to find a place of safety for their families.
While many tell refugees they are not wanted, as the church, we serve a Savior who calls us to welcome the stranger and thus welcome Him. We have an opportunity to reach out with compassion and serve both the physical and emotional needs of Charlotte's refugee & immigrant families. We can show the love of Jesus in a tangible, powerful way.
Join us for a discussion on the Biblical basis for welcome, the FAQs of refugee resettlement and practical ways to get involved with Project 658 staff, Julia Camenisch and Mark Landon as they share about the world at our doorstep. There will be time for questions!
The event will take place from 6-8pm at Wellspring Church in east Charlotte.
