About this Event
Refugee Ball - An Alternative Inaugural Ball
Join us for the Refugee Ball on January 20th at 4:00 PM at the Glorya Kaufman Community Center at the Wende Museum for an evening of music, art, and food, as we celebrate the strength and resilience of refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrant communities. As xenophobic rhetoric grows, Culver City proudly remains a sanctuary city, offering immigrant communities safety and support. This evening is about recognizing their courage, but it’s also a statement. It’s a reminder that we, as a community, are committed to supporting our neighbors. It’s about rejecting the harmful idea that refugees, asylum seekers and immigrants are a threat and instead acknowledging the tremendous contributions they make to our country and city.
