About this Event
The REFRESH (Reimagining the Future Environment, Sustainability, and Health) project is set to host a capstone event aimed at bridging the gap between scientific research and community engagement. The event will take place on November 20th and will feature a dynamic panel discussion titled “Farming, Biodiversity, and Climate Change: Hopes, Plans, and Action.” This initiative, funded by Research Ireland, represents a collaborative effort between Munster Technological University, University College Dublin, and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, co-created with local communities in Kerry and Dublin.
The capstone event will tackle critical issues affecting both rural and urban communities, acknowledging the divisive nature of these topics. To facilitate inclusive dialogue, the event will be hosted simultaneously in Tralee and Dublin, with live broadcasts connecting participants across both locations. This format aims to deepen understanding of the challenges faced by each community while fostering a shared sense of responsibility for the environment.
