About this Event
The EPLA Conference 2024 will take place on Wednesday, 11th December 2024, in Brussels, Belgium, and is dedicated to the topic of the "Reform of the EU pharmaceutical legislation: challenges and opportunities".
This one-day event is structured into four sessions, each focusing on key updates regarding the progress of the EU pharmaceutical package, providing perspectives from academia, public institutions, industry professionals, and other experts.
The opening session will explore the new framework for regulatory data protection and market exclusivity, featuring discussions on the latest trilogue negotiations and their potential impact on patent law. The second session will address the pressing issue of medicinal product shortages and supply security. In the third session, we will dive into the the legal framework and concept of the European Health Data Space (EHDS), including cross-border implications, and the EHDS’s impact on industry. The conference will conclude with a session on recent developments in medicinal product advertising.

We are currently awaiting confirmation from speakers representing the European Commission (DG SANTE) and another public authority.

The conference fee amounts to €550 (excl. VAT) for EPLA members and €770 (excl. VAT) for non-members. Please note that registration is open until Monday, 2nd December 2024, and this deadline cannot be extended for logistical reasons.
