“Reflections” is a celebration of our shadows and our light, a night to dive deep, dance freely, and express fully.
More than just a dance—it's a communal experience to honor the highs and lows of 2024 and embrace who we've become.
What is Ecstatic Dance?
Ecstatic Dance is a freeform, expressive movement practice where participants are invited to dance without choreography, allowing the music to guide them. It offers a unique, judgment-free space for physical exercise, emotional release, and creative expression. Beyond fitness, it provides a chance to connect deeply with oneself and others, fostering a sense of freedom, grounding, and community.
What to expect:
✨ The evening starts with an opening circle led by Ecstatic Dance PGH founder, Tricia Chirumbole, creating a sacred space to set intentions and center ourselves.
✨ Tricia then leads us into a grounding somatic warm-up, awakening our bodies for the rhythmic journey ahead.
✨ Prepare for a dynamic, live back-to-back dance set featuring Jessica Rosario and DJ Disco Pope (Kevin Sekleki of Timbeliza), with live percussion, voice, and powerful beats that weave a soulful musical landscape.
✨ The evening winds down with a soothing sound meditation lead by our resident artists, gently guiding us from movement into stillness.
This night invites you to "Come as you are and move as you please."
Reflect on your own journey, dance with friends and new faces, and welcome 2025 with an open heart and an inspired spirit.
