On Thursday, 27 June from 7.30- 9.00 pm at St. Gregory’s, Church parishioners are invited to gather with members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Community to reflect together on ‘Baptised Together in Christ’. Our reflection will be facilitated by Pastor Mark Whitfield of St. Paul’s and Kathleen Rushton RSM who are members of the Catholic-Lutheran Dialogue Commission. It would be helpful if those attending read Baptised Together in Christ which is available by visiting our parish website - https://www.christchurchnorth.org.nz/catholic-lutheranThe Catholic-Lutheran Dialogue Commission was established by the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference and the Bishop of the Lutheran Church of New Zealand in 2017 to commemorate 500 years since the Reformation.
The Commission has been meeting since then and has produced a joint statement entitled ‘Baptised Together in Christ’ which was adopted by the Lutheran Church of New Zealand and the New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference in 2021.
