In this hands-on workshop, Kris will demonstrate techniques for painting glass, including how to represent transparency, reflections, and refractions. She'll bring a variety of vases and glassware for you to practice on, helping you see and paint the world through a painter's lens. You’ll learn to observe and paint the shapes, colors, and textures within glass, including stems in water, the waterline, and the subtle lost and found edges. Kris will also show you how to paint the cast shadows that add depth and dimension to your artwork.
Perfect for artists of all levels, this workshop will help you enhance your skills and create stunning representations of clear objects. Don’t miss this chance to expand your artistic skills and create beautiful, lifelike paintings of transparent objects! Supplies are not included in the workshop fee.
Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
