PAUSE ~ REFLECT ~ RESET
This Autumn-themed workshop is perfect for beginners or those with a regular yoga practice.
Working in synchronicity with the energies of Autumn, the session offers a yin sequence guided by Claire, a qualified yoga teacher and physiotherapist.
During the workshop, participants will engage in yin poses, which are held for 3-5 minutes and often supported with various props. The focus of yin yoga is on relaxing the muscles and allowing the connective tissue (joints) to bear the stress, which can help improve circulation, range of motion, and sustainability. Additionally, yin yoga is linked to Chinese medicine and the body's 'Meridians' – the energy centers within the body.
Moreover, the workshop will feature Lauren, a trained sound healing practitioner, who will use a variety of instruments throughout the class. The frequency of the sounds is intended to help the body release and restore, while also allowing the mind to attain a deeper state of relaxation.
The workshop will also include a delicious homemade seasonal lunch and refreshments, followed by an opportunity for reflection, creativity, and journaling. Prompts and materials will be provided for these activities.
The day will conclude with a nourishing yoga nidra session, a deeply relaxing yogic meditation practice aimed at replenishing energy and ensuring a restful close to the day.
Suitable for beginners or those who have a regular practice.
