Join us for an interactive experience designed to simulate the difficulties formerly incarcerated individuals face when reentering society.
About this Event

Participants will take on the role of someone recently released from Pr*son. They must navigate tasks like securing housing, employment, transportation, healthcare, and complying with parole requirements — all within a structured time frame. The simulation is geared toward legislative staffers, legislators, and stakeholders to understand the barriers formerly incarcerated people experience when reintegrating back into society. With a better understanding of our system, policies can be passed to improve public safety by reducing recidivism and better support Texans aiming to transform their lives upon leaving the criminal justice system.

The 2-hour simulation will be followed by a panel of criminal justice experts representing reentry across Texas. Small bites will be provided!
