Subject Line: Historical Reenactment Shed Sale at LeDuc Historic Estate – May 3, 2025
Dear Members of the Historical Reenacting Community:
This is an invitation for you to sell your excess reenacting gear and to shop at a special sale event to be held Saturday May 3, at the LeDuc Historic Estate in Hastings.
The Hastings Area Historical Society (HAHS), in cooperation with the Dakota County Historical Society (DCHS), plans to offer this opportunity for reenactors of various historical periods to sell their excess items to other reenactors and to the public. This sale will accompany our regular HAHS fundraising shed sale. And, it will be held during the Hastings Citywide Garage Sale/100 Mile Garage Sale weekend, so there will be a lot of publicity and interest from the public.
We welcome historical clothing, accessories, camping gear, antiques, books, art, and other items of interest to fellow reenactors and history enthusiasts. There will be some restrictions, such as no firearms, and review of culturally sensitive materials. DCHS staff will be happy to talk to you in advance about any questionable items, and they will have final approval.

Saturday, May 3
Sale hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (set up starts at 7:00 am)
LeDuc Historic Estate grounds

Reserve your space by April 25. Email Sally Anderson at [email protected].
Cost is $10 per table. Please provide your own table(s). Contact Sally if you need assistance.
Tables will be set up outside. There is limited inside space available in the LeDuc carriage barn, but we can’t guarantee the weather. We encourage you to bring tents or awnings to cover your table in case of inclement weather.
You will price your own items, staff your space, and manage your own sales and payment methods (provide change, etc.).
Setup may be done Saturday morning, beginning at 7 am.
You must remove your own unsold items from the site at the end of the sale day.
HAHS and DCHS will not be responsible for any lost or missing items.
