Jeremy Sheldon hosts an inspiring afternoon with leading industry professionals who know what it takes to bring stories to life. From script to screen, they’ll share insider insights on filmmaking, documentary, writing, animation, production and performance. Hear from experts and learn what it takes to kickstart your creative career.



2.00-3.15pm: Page, Performance and Production pt 1

Discover what it takes to turn your ideas into compelling screen stories. From writing and development to performance and production, this session explores the journey from script to screen with top industry professionals who’ve done it all.

Jake Rowlands is a former Head of Development for Elstree Studio Productions based at the famous Elstree Studios. He is currently contracted to develop a TV series with Samuel Ha’s Bound Entertainment (Snowpiercer, Okja, Dr Brain) and has other exciting projects in the pipeline.

3.45-5.00: Page, Performance and Production pt 2

Join casting director Francesca Bradley and executive producer Deepak Sikka for a behind-the-scenes look at bringing stories to life. From finding the perfect cast to financing and post-production, they’ll share insights into how great films and documentaries are made—and what it takes to make an impact in the industry.

Francesca Bradley – A casting director with over 15 years in the industry, Francesca has worked on major productions including Captain America: The First Avenger, Logan, 6 Underground and Ford v Ferrari. She co-cast the third series of the critically acclaimed Das Boot and continues to shape standout performances on screen.

Deepak Sikka – An executive producer and financier with a track record of award-winning films and documentaries, Deepak has helped bring a diverse range of stories to the screen. He held an executive role at Molinare, one of the UK’s leading post-production companies, contributing to over 40 films, including Moon and The King’s Speech. He was also part of the team behind acclaimed documentaries like Man on Wire. In 2013, he co-founded Omeira Studio Partners, financing films such as First Reformed, which premiered at Venice and earned an Academy Award nomination.
