About this Event
Commemorating Transgender Awareness Month
Major!
This moving documentary tells the story of Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, a Black, transgender activist and original Stonewall veteran whose organizing and optimism has powered her through decades of fighting systemic oppression. She has tirelessly built the leadership of Black trans women, intersectional unity, and militant action. Join the post-film discussion to talk about how we can forge a grassroots movement to defend our communities under attack and to win full trans liberation.
Film commentary: Sky Syzygy, Trans archivist and memory worker focusing on histories of trans collective care and grassroots organizing
