REEL BLACK welcomes you to a curated CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE This experience is a series of events that focuses on showcasing films that highlight Black stories, culture, and perspectives. It involves the curation of movies by Black filmmakers or those that feature significant Black characters and narratives, often paired with discussions, panels, or other interactive elements to deepen the audience’s understanding and appreciation of REEL BLACK experiences and contributions in cinema.

This experience aims to educate, entertain, and inspire, fostering a sense of community and cultural pride.

WE KICK OUR FIRST SHOWING OFF WITH A Celebration of Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing" Join us for a day-long celebration of one of the most iconic films of all time!

Kick off the day with a FREE Block Party at Garland Terrace featuring live music, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and local vendors. As the sun begins to set, head over to ReCity in your 80s & 90s attire for the highly anticipated film screening. Hosted by The Raw Edition Candle Co and Black Films Matter, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience.Celebrate the 35th anniversary of Spike Lee's groundbreaking film, "Do The Right Thing," in style.
