Synopsis of “Reefer Madness”:
Set in the 1930s, “Reefer Madness” follows the story of a group of unsuspecting teenagers who are lured into the world of marijuana use by a charismatic dealer named Jimmy. The musical satirizes the propaganda surrounding the drug and its supposed dangers, highlighting the absurdity of the moral panic surrounding cannabis at the time. As the young characters spiral into a series of misadventures, the consequences of their choices lead to hilariously exaggerated situations, ultimately revealing the dangers of jumping to conclusions.

What to Prepare: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Participants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the material beforehand, but no prior preparation of a monologue is necessary.
We are looking for enthusiastic performers who can bring this outrageous story to life with energy and humor. All roles are open, and we encourage diversity in casting.
