About this Event
Target audience: Teachers, School Administration, Support Staff, Community Program Staff and Administration, or others who seek knowledge about sexual and reproductive health.
Reducing the Risk and Teen Health Project are inclusive, evidence-based sexual health curricula that help adolescents build knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to make sexual decisions that will keep themselves healthy and safe.
This training will offer extensive tools to make implementing these curricula comfortable and seamless regardless of the facilitator's setting. Participants will receive guidance on best practices for teaching sexual health from the NYC Department of Education and the Department of Health. This highly interactive training will provide ample opportunities to feel comfortable navigating these sometimes awkward or difficult conversations. Participants will leave with abundant physical and digital resources and connections to support them during implementation.
Eligible participants will earn six hours of CTLE credits, a $25 Visa gift card, and all curricula materials needed for implementation. Breakfast, lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided. Please note this is an in-person training.
