Reducing Barriers to Housing

All funds raised at the event will help support the Directors Council, which is a group comprised entirely of individuals that have recently experienced homelessness in the Suburban Metro Area (SMAC) region—Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Scott, and Washington counties.

The mission of the Directors Council is to end the suburban housing and homelessness crisis by engaging government entities and service providers, using their personal experiences in homelessness to inform policy recommendations, and create new initiatives designed to improve services and increase positive housing outcomes for people currently experiencing homelessness. Minnesota Engagement on Shelter and Housing (MESH) is the fiscal host for Directors Council's funding.

Thanks to a challenge grant from the Olseth Family Foundation, everything we raise will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000!
