What is The ReDressed Competition about?ReDressed is about showing how existing clothes can be redesigned and remade into 'new' ones – extending the life of garments and keeping them in use for longer – as part of a competition and refashion show.
Contestants have been asked to choose an existing garment(s) and upcycle it (or them) to be a ‘new’ wearable garment/outfit.
The garments have been judged by a panel of expert judges in various categories with the finalists selected for the REDRESSED 2024: ReFashion Show.
Prizes are awarded across 4 categories:
1. Circular design and sustainability
2. Creativity and innovation
3. Skills and craftsmanship
4. Wearability
A fifth category Ability to be Replicated, is for tertiary design students and professional contestants.
