We all have items in our wardrobe that we like but for some reason, we don’t wear them. Why is that? Maybe they are a bit tight, too big, or too long. Or maybe you don't feel comfortable wearing them because it is not your style? The material is lovely, but something in the design just doesn't suit you. Well, we can help you with that with our specialist experience. We have decided to split this course into 2 sessions so that you have more time to experiment with the right knowledge. The sessions will take place on the 19rd and the 25th of November.
How does it work?
Simply bring your own pieces of clothing to our studio and work together with our designer Monika to alter and restyle them. Monika will guide you and advise you throughout the process, from design to execution. Together we will explore ways to redesign your clothes to fit your style and measurements!
By the end of the workshop, you will:
- Have clothes that fit you and reflect your style
- Have basic alteration and sewing skills
- Have the confidence to continue restyling your clothes in the future
- Have developed self-reliant skills to improve the sustainability of your wardrobe
Moreover, you can save the world from another bunch of textile waste! By using your clothes for an extra 9 months, you can reduce their carbon footprint by 20-30%.
Learn creative methods, new skills, and have fun with us in our creative studio space! The small workshop size ensures valuable one-to-one teacher and participant time, allowing maximum engagement and assistance. Please feel free to bring 4-6 pieces of your garments, there will be plenty of room to consult on the best way to change them. This is a problem solving class, just bring that is not fitting you!
