A sustainable cycling class, vendor market, and beverage while the sun sets over the Miami River- what better way to spend your Saturday?
About this Event

We are stoked to be partnering up with our friends at Ocean Conservancy, Red Bike, Riverside, Asana Armor, and Rejewel to bring you this amazing event in the heart of Brickell/Downtown!

Silent disco will meet cycling as Dani Vidal guides us through a fun, outdoor spin class at Red Bike, overlooking the river through noise cancelling headphones!

After class, browse a eco-wear mini vendor market featuring Asana Armor, a Miami-based company that makes activewear from upcycled plastics, recycled cotton, and sustainably-sourced wood pulp, and Rejewel, a Florida-based company that makes accessories from post-consumer plastics.

We’ll then hop over to Riverside to enjoy complimentary zero-waste beverages with a view- a $25 ticket comes with a DFO reusable stainless steel tumbler for your drink. If you purchase a $15 ticket that does not include a reusable cup, make sure to bring your own cup in order to receive a free drink! #buildingHabits

Debris Free Oceans will be on site to educate about plastic pollution, actionable solutions, and how everyday actions can add up to generate positive impact- like bringing your own bottle to spin class! We will be bringing our water refill cooler and encourage participants to BYO reusable water bottle :)

For those who forget or do not have a water bottle, the Ocean Conservancy will be giving out reusable water bottles and Open Water aluminum bottled water - #dyk that aluminum can be recycled infinitely without losing quality & has a high recycling rate, while plastic loses quality every time it is recycled & has a recycling rate of only ~9%? This is why it is so important to avoid single-use plastics + to find new purposes for the plastic waste that is already out there, like Asana Armor clothing & Rejewel accessories!

The Ocean Conservancy will also be on site to talk about a groundbreaking pollution and waste management executed within the City of Miami by the University of Georgia’s Jambeck Research Group! This research team has executed this research in 10 countries and 26 cities around the world, but this is the first time it has been done in a major US City- #GoMiami!

Hang around at the pop-up market and cocktail hour to chat with the Ocean Conservancy about how you can be involved in community-based initiatives to address the outcomes of this research and eradicate pollution in Biscayne BAE and beyond :)
